๐Ÿ“– The Story

The Ruthwell Cross is an Anglo-Saxon stone cross from the early 8th century, standing in the parish church of Ruthwell in Dumfriesshire, Scotland. Famous for the largest runic inscription outside Scandinavia and its carved biblical scenes, it is one of the most sophisticated surviving works of Anglo-Saxon sculpture.
